Potato and Ham Caserole
|
(I always tend to make more than enough when I cook and none of my recipes are exact. Take what I have here as a base reference and taylor it to your own liking.)
|
10 medium sized potatoes
2 medium onions
1 pound turkey ham
2 sticks of butter
1 can Cream of Asparagus soup
1 can Cream of Mushroom soup
Peel and slice the potatoes into thin pieces; do the same with the two onions. Then take your turkey ham and slice it into thin strips. Put potatoes, onions, and turkey ham into a large roaster pan and stir; mixing together well.
Then on top of this mixture, place the two cubes of butter, and the soups, straight from the can. * Do not Mix.*
Put the cover on the roaster and place in a 400 degree oven. Let cook for about 30 minutes, then stir everything together well. Cook for another 30 minutes or until the potatoe slices can be pierced easily with a fork.
Remove from oven and serve. The number of people this recipe can serve depends greatly on how big of eaters the one's you are serving are. You can easily make a smaller amount or a larger amount of this caserole. For a different flavor, use other brands of creamed soups, add some mushrooms, or any other vegetable or meat you may like. The versatality of this recipe and the ease of it makes it a favorite around this manor.
