Remember

Remember back when we were young

and the songs that we always sung,

the tire swing in the old oak tree,

the places that we were going to see?

Remember back in our teenage years,

on the days I cried out my fears,

how you kissed them all away,

and how you held me on those days?

Remember the time that you went away,

and what you said to me that day?

You said that we would never part,

That we'd always be together in heart.

Remember that I said I'd always be true,

and that forever I would wait for you?

I'll never forget that rainy morn,

when you said that it's me that you adore.

Remember the after so many long years,

you told me you've had so many deep fears,

you whispered that you didn't want to stay free,

you asked, my dear, please marry me.

Remember my darling, that was so long ago,

and together forever we'll let our love flow.

Remember my dearest, we never shall part.

My darling, we are together in heart.
